Nāpali Coast Sunset Dinner Tour
They say it’s the journey and not the destination, but the Nāpali Coast might be the
exception. It’s truly something to behold. Whether you’ve been a dozen times or this is your
first, our sunset dinner tour is a great way to turn dinner and drinks into a beautiful
adventure.
We’ll be riding in comfort and style on the Holoholo, our company’s namesake vessel that was
designed and built right here on Kauaʻi by our founder and crew. She’s a boss boat—stable,
powerful, and meticulously maintained for safety and comfort. The Holoholo has a low center of
gravity, so there’s less rocking and rolling than on those more top-heavy, double-decker boats.
Needless to say, that’s a definite plus. Hop aboard the Holoholo for a truly Kauaʻi experience!

Full Tour Description
If you’re on a mission to witness the awesomeness of the Napali Coast, and you want to be on a
comfortable boat, enjoying quality food and beverages while you do so, come aboard our spacious
& sporty catamaran Holoholo for the Napali Sunset Cruise. Whether you’ve been a
dozen times, or this is your first, the Sunset Cruise is an excellent way to level-up your
evening plans and turn dinner, drinks, and sunset into a beautiful adventure!
We’ll be riding in comfort and style on Holoholo, our company’s namesake vessel that was
designed and built here on Kauai, by our company’s founder and crew. She’s a boss boat– stable,
powerful, and meticulously maintained for efficiency, safety, and comfort. Holoholo has
a low center of gravity, so there’s less rocking and rolling than on more top-heavy, double
decker tour boats– a feature our guests appreciate!
They say it’s the journey and not the destination, but Napali might be the exception to the
rule—Kauai’s northwest coast is truly something to behold. We always find ourselves saying, “It
never gets old,” because the Napali Coast has a way of humbling us with her magnificence, every
single day. It’s the rainbows and the dolphins and the way the Cathedrals break through
low-lying clouds. It’s the waterfalls, and the birds flying through Honopu Arch. Even when
conditions aren’t “perfect”, Napali always seems to have a way of showing the love and making
the trip special.
Indeed, in this case, it’s hard to beat the destination. That said, we’ll do our best to make the
journey unforgettable too!
When it comes to service, we go for food and beverage menus that are refreshing, Hawaii-inspired,
delicious, satisfying, and easy-to-eat. We’ve got juices, sodas, domestic & Hawaii
craft beers, hard seltzers, red & white wine, sparkling wine, and our signature Koloa Rum
Mai Tai. We serve meats & cheeses, crackers, and fresh veggies with dips to start, and for
the main course—fresh pineapple, garden salad, somen noodle salad, rice, teriyaki chicken, and
roasted veggies with tofu. Our balanced, colorful meals are prepared every day by our local
caterers, using whole ingredients. We use reusable linens and service ware, and Holoholo
Charters is the only Kauai tour boat company to be certified an Ocean Friendly Restaurant by the
Surfrider Foundation.
Chances are we’ll see some ocean wildlife while we’re out there; Hawaiian spinner dolphins,
flying fish, green sea turtles, and pelagic sea birds are commonly seen on our Kauai sunset
tours, year-round! And from December through April– it’s whale season, when thousands of North
Pacific Humpback Whales migrate over 3,000 miles from their summer feeding grounds in Alaska to
the warm waters of Hawaii, to mate and calve. As part of their mating rituals, curiosity, and
propensity to “show off” to humans, we’re often treated to dramatic breaches, tail slapping, and
other fascinating behaviors, such as spy hopping.
On the way to and from the majestic Napali Coast, we’ll pass the towns of Waimea and Kekaha, the
Pacific Missile Range Facility, Barking Sands Beach, and Hawaii’s longest beach– Polihale Beach.
Your captain will provide narration– history, interesting facts, information, and legends about
the island—and our crew members will be at your service at all times, answering questions,
taking pictures, refilling drinks, bringing you a plate, walking you to the bathroom, etc.
We have our Kauai Coffee Coconut Caramel Crunch Brownies for dessert and offer a sparkling wine
toast at sunset—we’re fully treating ourselves today!
Bring layers on this tour—you might want to soak up some sun at the start, but it will be getting
dark by the time we return to the dock in Port Allen. As a rule of thumb, bring a jacket with
you on all of your Kauai activities and adventures. The weather here is notoriously variable!
The Napali Sunset Cruise is a terrific choice for both Kauai locals and visitors that want to
elevate their happy hour/dinner/sunset plans by getting out on a nice boat and enjoying an
evening in one of the most beautiful places on Earth. With dinner, dessert, and drinks included,
the Napali Sunset Cruise offers a lot of value and will leave you smiling and satisfied.
If you have any questions at all about the Napali Sunset Cruise or any of our Kauai and Niihau
sailing and snorkeling tours, please call our reservations desk at 808-335-0815. We’re happy to
help you select the most suitable Kauai boat tour for everyone in your group.
We pride ourselves on creating fun and memorable ocean adventures for our guests. Your safety
is our top priority; therefore, all tour routes, destinations, and snorkeling activities are
dependent on ocean and weather conditions. If you are joining us during our winter season
November – March, tours can be more often impacted by weather. Conditions around Kauai can
change quickly, so our expert captains are constantly analyzing and may wait until check-in
time to determine the best route for the day. If that occurs you will have the opportunity
to go on the altered tour, reschedule to another day (availability permitting), or cancel
your tour at no charge if it is weather-related. If you have any questions or concerns,
please call us at 808-335-0815 so we can help create the best experience for you and your
family!
